Dionna Dalzell, APRN-C, is a nationally Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner. Dionna began her career in high school by working as a certified nursing assistant in a nursing home. Since that time, she has accumulated years of nursing experience and education in both larger university hospitals and small outpatient clinics. Her scope of practice encompasses health promotion, disease prevention, and management of common and complex health care problems. Dionna most recently worked in pain management dealing with chronic pain with an emphasis on treating low back and neck pain, radiculopathy, and peripheral neuropathy. As a nurse practitioner at Axis Brain and Back Institute, Dionna assesses, diagnoses, and treats new, established and post-operative patients. In the operating room, Dionna can be found opposite Dr. Aryan in every surgical case.

Dionna Dalzell, MS, APRN, FNP-C

Dionna earned her Master of Science degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska in May of 2005. During her career she had the privilege to work at a state of the art medical and teaching trauma hospital on a float team that was utilized in all areas of the hospital.

Dionna’s undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing was completed at Methodist College of Nursing and Allied Health in Omaha, Nebraska.

Dionna is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and a member of the Texas Nurse Practitioners.

Dionna and her husband are extremely proud parents of 3 grown children. Dionna also enjoys time with her family, reading, hiking, camping, scuba diving, and traveling.
